Setup Home Assistant behind a Proxy

Prerequisites

• A running proxy instance like https://nginx.org/en/

• A Home Assistant instance

Setup a proxy host for Home Assistant on the proxy and then add the following to the configuration.yaml of Home Assistant:

http:
  use_x_forwarded_for: true
  trusted_proxies:
    - 192.168.1.200 #IP of your proxy

Afterwards restart Home Assistant.
